Cynthia Shonaiya, AIA, LEED AP, Chair, Board of Architects
Cynthia Shonaiya, AIA, LEED AP is an architect and Principal at Hord Coplan Macht and has 30 years of professional experience spanning three continents. She serves as Market Sector Leader of HCM’s Senior Living and Affordable Housing practice and has been Principal in Charge on hundreds of Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Active Adult and Affordable projects. Additionally, she is chair of the Maryland State Board of Architects, serves on the American Institute of Architects Design for Aging Leadership Group, is a juror for several national design competitions, and is a regular speaker at national and regional industry conferences. A product of Morgan State University’s graduate school of Architecture, Cindy’s passion is to motivate and encourage the next generation of architects, especially women and underrepresented minorities. She is chair of HCM’s successful Student Engagement Committee, which hosts the high school ‘D3 | Design Development Day’ and other events for students.

Christopher Schein, Chairman, Board of Examiners of Landscape Architects
As a principal and partner of Hord Coplan Macht, Christopher Schein has over 25 years of landscape architecture and land planning experience. Mr. Schein is currently leading an interdisciplinary design team working with the National Park Service on the D.C. War Memorial restoration. Campus projects include Washington College, Loyola College in Maryland, the University of Virginia, St. Mary’s College and the United States Naval Academy. He has also designed landscapes at the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Treasury, the Pennsylvania State Capitol, and Baltimore’s West Shore Park. His accomplishments have been recognized by two American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Honor Awards and several Merit Awards. Mr. Schein previously served as President of the Maryland Chapter of ASLA.

TJ Frazier, Chair, Land Surveyors Board, Chair, Joint Board
TJ Frazier is a professional land surveyor with over 35 years of experience, primarily in the central Maryland region. He is also licensed in West Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina. TJ’s background covers varied aspects of surveying, including boundary determination, ALTA/NSPS surveys, land development and stakeout, control surveys utilizing GPS, and 3D laser scanning. He holds an AAS in Surveying Technology from the Community College of Baltimore County and a BS in Business from Mount St. Mary’s University. He is currently in his second term on the Board.

Sallye Perrin, Chair, Board for Professional Engineers
Sallye Perrin has over 40 years of planning and engineering experience and is a senior vice president with WSP USA where she serves as the National Director of Public Private Partnerships. She is nationally recognized for her ability to help agencies find innovative and cost-effective means to implement their programs and projects. Ms. Perrin is noted for her expertise in alternative delivery including design/build and public-private partnerships (P3), and transit-oriented development (TOD). She has directed and managed numerous planning, environmental and engineering phases for transportation programs in the United States and Canada. Ms Perrin is a licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Louisiana.

Robyn Dubick, Chair, Board of Certified Interior Designers
Robyn Dubick is a principal with CRGA Design, a firm specializing in Healthcare Architecture, Interior Design, Master Planning and environmental graphic design. A graduate of Virginia Tech, Robyn has been working in the field of interior design for over 20 years. She has completed a multitude of projects in acute and ambulatory care, environments for many of the healthcare institutions in the Mid-Atlantic region. In addition to being a Certified Interior Designer, she also holds many advanced certifications as a Certified Healthcare Interior Designer, LEED AP ID+C, EDAC, and is Lean Black Belt certified. Prior to serving on the State Board of Certified Interior Designer, Robyn held many board positions in the local chapter of IIDA, an involvement she began while in college. In her current role with the Maryland State Board, she also represents the state as the states delegate to The Council of Interior Design Qualification.
