Fees - Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors

Fees.03 Fees and Costs.

A. The Secretary and the mechanical boards have agreed to average their direct and indirect costs, based on the calculation of costs performed by the Secretary in consultation with the mechanical boards. Based on these calculations, the Board sets the following nonrefundable fees as of January 1, 2024:

  • Master: $84
  • Master Restricted: $28 for each category, maximum $84*
  • Limited: $84
  • Journeyman: $22.50
  • Journeyman Restricted: $22.50
  • Apprentice: $11
  • Inactive Licenses: $28

*Master Restricted licenses are issued in one and up to four combinations of areas of expertise in HVACR work (heating, forced air, heating - hydronic, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration). The assessment per category is capped once an individual licensee qualifies in three areas of HVACR expertise.
