May 5, 2022 - Laurel Park
#22-108 In the matter of the fifth race at Laurel Park on April 9, 2022;

On May 5, 2022 trainer Benjamin Perkins, Jr. withdrew his appeal with the Maryland Racing Commission. The 5th race from April 9, 2022 is now declared official.
The purse monies affected by the dispute are to be released by the Horsemen's Bookkeeper.

Having
satisfied his financial obligation to the Maryland Thoroughbred Purse Account as of May 1, 2022 the afore mentioned 0wnership is reinstated to good standing with the Maryland Racing Commission and declared eligible to participate in racing.

#22-110 Trainer, Jamie Ness is fined One hundred dollars
($100.00) for not having the colors for “Janes Jelly”, entered to run in the sixth race at Laurel Park on May 6, 2022, after receiving a fine on (05/01/2022) for the same offense.
THIS IS A VIOLATION OF: [COMAR 09.10.01.09] which states in part
“It shall be the sole responsibility of the trainer to see that his or her owner’s colors are in the jockey’s quarters to be used for his or her respective entries, failure to do so, the trainer will be subject to fine”.
(Note: As per COMAR 09.10.04.05, failure to pay a fine within 48 hours from being notified may result in a suspension of license.)

, May 11 and 12, 2022 for repeatedly violating the riding crop rule. This time in the ninth race at Laurel Park on May 7, 2022.

On May 13, 2022, Johan Rosado withdrew his appeal with the Maryland Racing Commission.

May 13, 2022 - Pimlico Race Course
#22-114 In the first race at Pimlico Race Course on May 12, 2022, horse #7 “Tiz No Clown”, ridden by jockey Andre Ramgeet, was disqualified
from first position and placed third. Soon after the start, the rider of #7 slaps his horse on the neck 3 times and angles in towards the rail while not having sufficient clearance. This action forces #5 “Dontinvademyspace” ridden by jockey Angel Cruz, to drift in, to avoid contact and in doing so he comes over into the path of #4 ”Coffeewithchris” ridden by jockey J.D. Acosta forcing his rider to steady.

#22-115 In the matter of the first race at Pimlico Race Course on May 12, 2022, regarding the Official result.

On May 12, 2022, owner/trainer William E. Atkins filed an appeal with the Maryland Racing Commission. The appeal contests the Stewards' decision to disqualify the horse “Tiz No Clown” from first position.
As a result of that appeal, the frst race on May 12, 2022, is hereby declared in dispute and the following ordered to remain in effect until the dispute has been settled by the Maryland Racing Commission:
(1) Both “Coffeewithchris” and “Tiz No Clown” shall be subject to all penalties attached to the winner of the race [COMAR 09.10.04.15, A (1)]; and
(2) The purse monies affected by the dispute are to be held by the Horsemen's Bookkeeper.

May 14, 2022, 2022 - Pimlico Race Course
#22-117 In the matter of Jockey Andre Ramgeet, subject of Stewards’ Ruling #22-116, dated May 13,
2022.

Jockey Ramgeet, having filed an appeal with the Maryland Racing of the fine and suspension issued to him by the Stewards in Ruling #22-116, said suspension is hereby stayed pending a Commission hearing on this appeal.

#22-118 In the seventh race at Pimlico Race Course on May 14, 2022, horse #2 “Date Nite Kisses”, ridden by jockey Charlie Marquez, was disqualified
from second position and placed fourth. Inside the 1/8th pole, #2 “Date Nite Kisses” angles out around the lead horse #5 “Fancy Princess” and keeps coming out under left-handed whipping, carrying #7 “Fortes” ridden by Grant Whitacre. This action forced #7 out into the path of #4 “Camelia Rod” ridden by Leonardo Corujo making his rider take up and steady.

#22-123 In the eighth race at Pimlico Race Course on May 26, 2022, horse #4 “Luv Ya Bye Bye”,
ridden by jockey Kevin Gomez, was disqualified
from second position and placed third. Shortly after leaving the gate #4 angles in towards the rail crowding the horses inside of him before being corrected. This action causes #3 “Late Night Larry” ridden by jockey Xavier Perez to shy away towards the inside, he is corrected but #2 “Frightland” ridden by jockey Feargal Lynch, clips heels and stumbles.

On May 28, 2022, owner Terry Overmier filed an appeal with the Maryland Racing Commission. The appeal contests the Stewards' decision to disqualify the horse “Tiz No Clown” from second position and place him third.
As a result of that appeal, the eighth race on May 26, 2022, is hereby declared in dispute and the following ordered to remain in effect until the dispute has been settled by the Maryland Racing Commission:
The purse monies affected by the dispute are to be held by the Horsemen's Bookkeeper.
