Description: The Leasing Training Academy (LTA) is a comprehensive training program developed specifically to prepare individuals for leasing positions within the multifamily industry. Partnering with the local community and multifamily property management companies, we identify and recruit candidates to participate in the program. We work directly with multifamily employers to assist with job placement upon successful completion.

Industry: Residential Leasing
Description: The Employ Prince George’s Residential Leasing Training Program is administered in partnership with the Maryland Multi-Housing Association through the Leasing Training Academy. The program is designed to prepare eligible participants for entry-level employment within the multifamily residential leasing industry.
The training consists of structured, instructor-led coursework focused on leasing operations, customer service, sales practices, fair housing compliance, and property management fundamentals. Participants also receive professional development training in areas including communication, conflict resolution, and workplace readiness.
The program is approximately four (4) weeks in duration and includes required components such as case management, career coaching, and job placement assistance. The training is aligned with employer-identified workforce needs and is intended to support direct employment outcomes upon successful completion.

Certifications Earned: Participants earn their Fair Housing Certification (IREM Fair Housing Skill Badge).
Eligibility: Participants must be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the United States, and a resident of Prince George’s County, Maryland, and, where applicable, live in an eligible census tract, demonstrate at least one documented barrier to employment (such as low income, underemployment, returning citizen status, veteran status, immigrant or refugee status, disconnected youth, or being age 50+), with eligibility verified through required documentation and assessment in accordance with EARN program guidelines.
